Create Better Days…
Have you ever had a day, week, maybe even a month, where you can’t seem to step out of the morass you’re stuck in, mentally, emotionally, or even physcially? How do you get out of that pattern? I have to admit I’ve had a tough week. I feel my vibration has been quite low lately. The stresses in my life have overwhelmed me lately. And all I could do, even in meditation, was to go over all my problems, like a mantra, over and over. So… this week there’s an episode with the always inspiring Tony LeRoy about creating a more optimistic world. When I uploaded the video to our site, I wanted to cry. How could anyone, especialy me, create a more optimistic world, let alone an hour, a day, a week, given all my problems? It just seemed like so much work.
I watched this episode 5 times before it hit me: I didn’t want to feel better. I wanted to cry and worry and fret. And I didn’t feel like being nice to other people, especially myself! How could I allow myself to feel better when I wasn’t doing anything to fix all these problems of mine? Well, I couldn’t. And I didn’t until I stopped my gnashing of teeth long enough to own my mood and my very boring worries. I woke up this morning making a list of everything I want. And I slowly began to raise my vibration as Tony said. AND… it worked. I felt better, not amazingly better or happy exactly but better. I went from sad to okay. And that was enough… for today.
Another thing I did everyday this week, despite my sad, angry mood, was to exercise. I went to yoga everyday this week. I didn’t necessarily enjoy the classes (why would I give myself permission to do that?!) but for a couple of minutes during that hour each day I was lifted out of myself. And those minutes extended into an hour, which in turn has extended into a whole day of feeling good.
Last night I watched this episode again and decided to take Tony’s advice: I went through the whole day blue but at the end of the day, I FINALLY let that DAY GO.
So if you’re stressing this holiday season and worried about work, family, money, love, or just life in general, allow yourself to be more optimistic. Make a conscious decision to raise your vibe from sad to joy or even just from sad to okay. And allow for those easeful moments to come to you… because they will. And remember: if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. It’s a journey, and we’re all in this together.
Here’s my holiday wish for all of us: That we all find happiness and ease in our lives today and into the new year.
