I am blessed to witness deep transformation all the time. The most profound “a-ha” moments can happen with a simple look or word. With others it can feel like chipping away at a mountain of resistance with a wet sponge. Yet, inevitably there is the email or phone call I receive a few days later confirming an even deeper realization. I love seeing the true essence of the person rise up and seeing her/him choosing to claim it. The saying of YES to another facet of who you really are is profoundly altering. And, in these moments there is usually one common occurrence…
A letting go.
Deep transformation happens the instant we make space for another possible reality. The moment we allow it is the same moment we are free.
There is something to be said about not holding on too tightly to things. I know for many of us letting go of anything is the equivalent of quitting or losing. For others letting go is paralyzing; a feeling of death.
Yet truth be told, most of us have no clue as to what we are holding on to. Even more interesting… Is what you are holding on to really yours?
What outdated goals are still running in your background? What old abandonment gave way to mistrust? Which failed attempts hold you in a repeating pattern? Which old love holds you back from a true one?
Letting go is making room for more of the real you to be revealed. Take a moment and let the real you find the freedom to be.
Here are some helpful tips…
Create moments to get in tune to you, spirit and all that is:
- Journal from a viewpoint of being the witness to your feelings and thoughts
- Be in nature
- Breath in ease, breath out resistance.
Be present. The more in the moment we are, the easier it is to see the truth.
Choose to recognize the fear and stress created by an expectation of an outcome. Be open to any possible road to the outcome.
Change your mind and create new thoughts.
Know that you are loved and supported, even when you least believe it.
“If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever. If it dosen’t, then it was never meant to be.”
