Recipe for Grass Fed Beef Chili

Ingredients:

1 lb of lean grass fed ground beef

1 large chopped yellow or white onion

1 large can of whole peeled tomatoes

1 small can of whole peeled tomatoes

11/2 cans of tomato paste

2- 15 oz cans of kidney beans

2- 15 oz cans of your favorite beans (I use black beans)

Chili Powder

Cumin

Salt

Pepper

Optional: 2 sliced canned chipotle peppers in adobe sauce (with the seeds removed)

Brown the ground beef & onions. Add the whole peeled tomatoes, tomato paste & beans. Stir it up. Then, heavily dust and cover the surface of your pan with chili powder. Heavily dust and cover half the surface of your pan with the cumin. Add salt and pepper to taste. Optional: add chopped chipotle peppers and a splash of the adobe sauce. Let cook for 40 minutes. Taste to see if you need to add more of each spice. Add and let cook for another 40 mins.

Note: Please buy Organic GMO free corn.

In a pan with a fitted lid or the Whirley Pop (see our Things We Love) add 1 Tablespoon of organic grapeseed oil and 1/2 cup organic popcorn.

Over medium-high heat add grapeseed oil and popcorn at the same time. Shake the pan once or twice and let sit on the heat until you hear the first kernel pop. Never leave pan unattended. Start to slowly & gently shake the pan over the heat. Make sure you remove from heat when the popping slows down, not when the popping stops. Add Salt or your favorite spices (Tania likes a spice blend of paprika, cumin, dried oregano & thyme, cayenne, and sea salt that she makes up herself.)
